The IECON’2019 organizing committee does not recommend any particular accommodation. Lisbon has a wide range of accommodation options, from 5-star, luxury hotels, to hostels, including Bed and Breakfasts and Guesthouses.

From the Airport to the city center:

Lisbon Airport is located in the city, just 20 minutes away from the center. It is easy to go from the Lisbon Airport to the city center. Metro (subway) is a good option. More information here.

How to get to Lisbon Congress Center:

The Lisbon Congress Center is located close to the river Tagus and the historical and cultural heritage of Belem, a few minutes from the city center.

Lisbon Congress Center is served by tram, bus and train:

  • By Tram 15E, which connects “Praça da Figueira, Lisbon” to “Algés”, exit at “Rua Junqueira” (Lisbon Congress Center);
  • By Bus 714, which connects “Praça da Figueira, Lisbon” to “Outurela, Oeiras”, exit at “Rua Junqueira” (Lisbon Congress Center);
  • By Bus 727, which connects “Estação Roma-Areeiro, Lisbon” to “Restelo, Lisbon”, exit at “Rua Junqueira” (Lisbon Congress Center);
  • By Bus 732, which connects “Marquês Pombal, Lisbon” to “Caselas, Lisbon”, exit at “Rua Junqueira” (Lisbon Congress Center);
  • By Bus 751, which connects “Est. Campolide, Lisbon” to “Linda-a-Velha, Oeiras”, exit at “Rua Junqueira” (Lisbon Congress Center);
  • By Bus 756, which connects “Olaias, Lisbon” to “R. Junqueira (Centro Congressos), Lisbon”, exit at “Rua Junqueira” (Lisbon Congress Center);
  • By Bus 720, which connects “Picheleira, Lisbon” to “Alto Sto. Amaro, Lisbon”, exit at “Est. Sto. Amaro” (600m from Lisbon Congress Center);
  • By Bus 728, which connects “Portela, Lisbon” to “Restelo, Lisbon”, exit at “Hosp. Egas Moniz” (400m from Lisbon Congress Center);
  • By Train (Lisbon-Cascais line), which connects “Lisboa – Cais do Sodre” to “Cascais”, exit at “Alcantara-Mar” Station (1km from Lisbon Congress Center).

Lisbon city center is also served by Metro (subway), which is the fastest way to get around the city. Lisbon Metro has 56 stations and four lines (green, blue, yellow, and red).

Lisbon Metro is probably the best option to go from Lisbon Hotels to:

  • the tram stops;
  • the buses stops; and
  • the “Cais do Sodre” train station.
